Thursday 10/6/11

Finish or take the open note test, there will not be in class time to complete packet.  After test we'll put together the first part of the next unit packet and start the lesson on Cell division-Mitosis.

Homework-complete study guide

If you completed the test you can get ahead by doing the photosynthesis guided reading which is going to be assigned homework for Friday.

Enjoy the rain it's going to warm up again next week!

Wednesday 10/5/11

Open book test today, you'll be turning in your packet at the end of class.  Prepare by reading through the cellular resipration and photosynthesis sections in your book and checking to make sure your lesson notes are complete.

Remember that you will be seeing this material again on the quarter benchmark so focus on learning it.Tomorrow we're starting mitosis mieosis.

Extra credit will be accepted until Thursday next week.

Tuesday 10/4/11

Vocabulary quiz.  You will be trading your fold square with someone near or next to you and they can use it on the quiz, if you do not have one or incomplete you will not have that option.

Unit test scheduled for Thursday, unit study guide must be done by Wednesday.

After the quiz we'll be doing a short lab and working on the study guide.

Monday 10/3/11

It's Monday!

Today we'll start off with a demonstration on energy during photosynthesis and cellular respiration, you should understand the role of electrons and NADPH+ to produce ATP in both the light dependent and light independent reactions.

We will also be focusing on where the reactions take place such as in the chloroplast and stroma, inside or out of the mitochondria.

Vocabulary quiz tomorrow, study those words and be sure that you have your four fold finished.

There are labs scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday but it might get pushed up a day depending on equipment needs with other classes.
